WILL JESUS COME BACK?
The coming
of Jesus is a fable as the bible foretold. Why hasn’t he come back? This is the thought of so many people and am
not surprised that even professing Christian are in this school of thought. So
many people are now living there lives as if they own it, forgetting the owner
will soon come.
“Jesus will
soon come” this is a very popular quote even before I was born. One man once
said he had been hearing Jesus will soon come for a long time yet he has not
shown up.
I have heard
Christians saying when someone dies, that person Jesus had come and the world
continues, never coming to an end.
I have asked many of
my Christian friends mostly female the same question as thus “what if Jesus
comes today? Believe me they all said almost the same thing “Jesus should not
come now. I want to marry, have my own children and see my grandchildren. I
want to have my own business, build my own
house.” Phil 3:19 Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach;
their glory is in their shame. They are focused on earthly things,
Someone who is
expecting Jesus to come back will not have focus on this things rather there
focus will be on heaven Col 3:2 Set
your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
2Cor
4:18 So we do not focus on what is seen, but on
what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Matt 6:33 But
seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you. Some who
is diligently seeking for the kingdom of God will know that waiting for the
return of Christ is a crucial part of the kingdom of God. Every other things will be added unto you. Our
needs are never neglected by God. He will give to us all that pertain to life
and godliness. But now it is the other way round. Other things first before the
kingdom of God [will talk about this more as the spirit leads].
Jesus
is not a man that he should lie. He came to earth as man and as returned to
heaven sitting at the right and of God the father as God the Son. He spoke
directly what God said and if God says a thing it will not come back to him
void. In the Old Testament, he said Jesus will come. Moses, David, Isaiah and
others prophesy about his coming and he came when no one was expecting except
the mentioned view like Simeon and Anna.
If
he indeed came as prophesied, will he not return as he had said? Jesus never
failed to tell his disciples often about his return in fact he told them to WATCH AND PREPARE. He repeatedly cautioned them
about his return in Matthew 24. And in this
same chapter, all that one need to know and the events surrounding his return
is clearly stated.
And in revelation, he told John that he is coming.
And three times in the same Chapter he use the word QUICKLY and added SURELY on the third assertion to tell us that it is certain.
Angels verify is coming if you observe closely the
words spoken to the disciples in Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye
gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
People say the only certain thing in life is death,
but I can boldly say, they are ignorant. Paul already shown us a mystery that
will shall not all die [physical death] 1Cor 15:53, 1Thess 4:17
The only certain thing in life is THE
RETURN OF JESUS. AMEN
